Our Story
Nestled into the beautiful Fruitland town streets is Fruitland Baptist Church. Founded in 1955, known then as First Baptist Church of Fruitland, we opened our doors to public worship. In 1996 the building tragically caught fire. Rebuilding started immediately thanks to the help of the community we are blessed to serve. Church members, contractors, and community volunteers came to rebuild and bring everyone back together.
Over the years the church has grown to offer many community outreach opportunities. Our food bank, offering free lunches and grocery pick ups, donating school supplies to families in the community, and our Vacation Bible School are some of the opportunities we have been grateful to offer.
Thanksgiving Day is the highlight of our calendar. We serve over 1,000 meals to the people of Fruitland and surrounding areas. We also have the wonderful opportunity to get to know the students in our area when we feed hundreds of students from Fruitland all the way to the international students in Ocean City.
